by Marissa Siock, 757 Collab Social Media Marketing Intern
My journey as the social media marketing intern for 757 Startup Studios has surely been one to remember, but this day was my favorite day spent at Assembly. A few weeks ago, I was able to set up a headshot day for founders looking for some extra photos to add to their portfolios. I was able to spend the day with these passionate individuals who brought all the positive energy to the shoot.
While the technical side of things, such as lighting and camera setups, is important, the atmosphere is just as crucial. I wanted the founders to feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, inviting space for them to express themselves and their company. My main goal was to capture the essence of each individual. Whether it was a casual smile, a confident post, or a more serious, professional expression, I wanted to bring out the best in everyone.
757 Collab is full of creative and determined individuals. I wanted to take these headshots to showcase the diverse and driven people who are a part of our space. I am excited to continue to offer more opportunities like Headshot Day to help founders grow, connect, and show the world who they are – one headshot at a time.

I was able to speak with a couple of founders and go deeper in conversation about their journey as a founder at 757 Collab. I asked Dr. Linda Mitchell, founder of Sweet Heart Mitchell Collection, about her experience at 757 Collab, she replied:
“My experience with the 757 Collab has been very eye-opening and very resourceful. I’ve had the opportunity to coach with individuals that have expertise in their field, I’ve had many resources presented to me and have built some very sound relationships.” According to Dr. Mitchell, the most valuable lesson she learned as a startup is “Show up and take action. Don’t just absorb the information. Apply the information through consistent action and to be thankful for every single piece of information I receive.”
According to Chessie, founder of HR Signature Links, her experience at 757 Collab has been amazing. She says:
“I have been able to really dive deep within my business, connect with truly knowledgeable and caring mentors and meet other wonderful founders and individuals doing great things.” I asked Chessie how she stays motivated during difficult times; her reply, “I stay motivated by remembering my wow and leaning into the impact that the field has on businesses and people. HR is a true pillar of any business and the success of it. Understanding the end goal of what I do helps push through difficult moments – realizing that they won’t last forever.”
